Main functions: a

Dimethylaminoethoxyethanol DMAEE is a reactive low odor polyurethane catalyst, mainly used in polyurethane rigid foam, high resilience toy foam, with special effect on foam skin maturation. DMAEE has a tertiary amine group and a hydroxyl group, and thus performs typical amine and alcohol chemistry. DMAEE has a strong catalytic effect on the chemical reaction of water with isocyanate to produce polyurethane foam. The hydroxyl group in this catalyst reacts with isocyanate and thus chemically adheres the dimethylaminoethoxyethanol DMAEE molecule to the polyurethane polymer. As a result, the residual odor in the foam products made by this method is minimal.

Product Application】

PC CAT NP40 is a highly active trimer co-catalyst with excellent foaming performance, usually shared with other catalysts.

PC CAT NP40 is mainly used as a catalyst for polyurethane (PU) and polyisocyanurate (PIR) reactions, and actually has slightly higher catalytic selectivity for PU than PIR reactions, and is commonly used in laminate polyurethane rigid foam, sprayed rigid foam, molded rigid foam, and more suitable for PIR rigid foam sheets, various foaming agent foaming (including full water foaming) and other processes, and has excellent performance in water foaming rigid foam systems.

PC CAT NP40 is also suitable for microporous polyurethane elastomer and high resilience foam products.

Safety Information

Catalyst  is somewhat toxic and should be rinsed with soapy water promptly after contact with skin. Staff can wear eye protection or safety glasses for the purpose of eye protection. Eye wash and drenching equipment should be provided near the workplace. When working in places where contact with the product is possible, attention should be paid to personal hygiene and the skin in contact with the product should be washed with washing products before eating, smoking and leaving the workplace.

Leak handling

Stop spills as much as possible while ensuring safety. If a minor spill is found, treat it with sand or other absorbent material and place it in a clean, dry container for subsequent disposal. If a large spill occurs, the spilled material should be collected for subsequent disposal. Avoid entering groundwater or surface water as the material is not readily biodegradable. All collected spilled material should be disposed of in accordance with local environmental regulations.
