trimethylhydroxyethyl ethylenediamine is mainly used as a catalyst for polyether-based polyurethane flexible foams, molded foams, semi-rigid foams and rigid foams, and is especially recommended for automotive foams.

trimethylhydroxyethyl ethylenediamine is a non-emissive amine catalyst used to promote the urea (isocyanate-water) reaction, which readily reacts into the polymer matrix due to the presence of reactive hydroxyl groups;
